Re: Warm then more showers, 4/12 to13/12

Happy for you lot on the other side of the bay to get whatever storms are left in the day, I've had enough. Had a few very close shotgun flangs, four hours of rumbles with only a couple of lulls in between has been enough for the SDS to subside.

Re: Vic - potential rain in the east from an inland low 5-8/1/22

Great explanation QldTwister, I was up in Mildura last week, was bloody hot haha. As for today an example of "hit and miss" I am actually close enough to see the rain falling from a solid little shower to my east but not a drop here and sunny again. Still, getting closer and along way to ...

Re: Vic - potential rain in the east from an inland low 5-8/1/22

Constant thunder, the occasional flang, rain alternating between heavy and torrential and even some hail between 6pm-9pm here in Werribee. Finished up with 36.9mm which is the highest daily total since I setup the gauge at the start of 2020, many reports of flash flooding in the area but nothing com...

Re: Becoming hot then rain and storms: Dec 13-20

certainly not the amount of storms in a line that was being spoken about going to happen. its been hot and steamy here with some storms developing in the distance to the east but otherwise nothing at all here. The blow off from the anvil seems to be covering us now though as the sun has gone behind...

Scored 42.5mm up to 9am today and another 4mm with the change. Like many here was shocked to see the totals this morning but no complaints either, things were getting very dry around here.

Very similar here in Werribee, 26.3mm so far, very unexpected but happy with the result.

18mm for last two days in Werribee, can't complain about that at all. Echo the sentiments about JS, the lack of her presence has definitely been felt around here.

Re: Settled week then rain? 23-31 March

As much as I'd love some interesting weather, I feel like a large percentage of those out there ignoring the plea to stay home won't be troubled by anything inclement. Also agree with creating a thread in the lounge for general discussion on the current situation, I've noticed the same - normally le...

Re: Strong fronts and possible low: May 7-12

Pea sized hail, torrential rain and loud thunder in the last half hour here - wonderful start to the day! My work colleague just drove in that from Geelong. He said it was one of the scariest drives in he's ever done. Was driving along at 50km on the Princes Hwy at one stage. :o Meanwhile 14mm reco...

Can confirm! Scored 8mm and plenty of rumbles from that cell that's strobing over the bay :)

Too bad it all broke down here when it decides to go westerly instead of north-south. Pic may not be the best as I'm trying to figure out how to upload through my phone so i don't know if the picture is small or large on a desktop. This photo is looking directly westerly. To the right is north and ...
