Very different rain amounts forecast for here depending if you look at "Weatherzone" or "Bom" on the WZ site. Obviously use different models but strange how they can be so different. Given the "event" is on our doorstep I would have thought the various models would be i...

Forecasts looking good for a decent drop up here in NE Vic on Saturday. The raincast on BSCH has the most falling slightly east of here in the NSW/VIC high country but I hope it wiggles its way West a bit in the in the coming runs. Really hope it’s steady rain over a longer period rather than storm ...

Reports filtering in of a tornado at Peechelba. You can see the radar signature in the start of the loop. The cell below. It was a strong left mover. Yeah that was the cell where you can see the rotation in the doppler. I wonder who issues the warnings from the vic emergency app. Here is the warnin...

Created an animation of the wind doppler for the NE Vic cell. Anyone think it was a tornado? Looked strongest near Springhurst. Sure had the Emergency Vic people excited. Got a warning similar to a bushfire warning. First was an advice message then it upgraded to an emergency message - that's one be...

Just been issued an "Emergency Warning - Thunderstorm" for the cell heading toward Wodonga. I am in Wodonga and it's raining but not too bad ATM. Looking at the radar the worst may just be to my south which may be a good thing. I have had thunderstorm warnings via the Vic Emergency App bef...

Been raining solidly in Wodonga since the early hours of this morning. Up to 77.4mm for this event.
The weird thing is that the Yarrawonga radar isn't really showing heavy rain here at the moment, but it's still raining now fairly steadily. Not sure what the go is there.

Long way off but boy I hope it eventuates. Hopefully a good Autumn break at last. BOM don't seem to be too keen on the idea but WZ is progging 20-40mm for here (NE Vic). Oh and as I type they've gone down to 10-20mm. I guess it will swing around a bit until the models can get a better idea during th...

Gee it's quiet in here ...
Anyhoo, any thoughts on the forecast rain event statewide next Tuesday? Looks promising for a decent drop, until we get the usual downgrade that is. Mind you the forecast has been pretty steady over the last few days so surely something is in store?
Cheers.
