OK you guys down south, get the cameras ready. Having the most extreme lightning display I have ever seen living here, strobing, constant lightning and thunder a constant rumble, to the point that there is actually too much lightning infact but get ready. THIS IS AMAZING....... :D :D :D Bloody hell...

Anyone can make their own "mini" updraft just by boiling a kettle and watching the air / steam rise fast which the steam then falls back to the ground like rain :) The water to surrounding air temp difference is a bit extreme to what happens with a storm but you get the idea. A volcano eru...

These storms are a real mess, low cloud moving north from the southerly

These storms are pushing through the southerly but the southerly is killing part of there development at the same time

BTW, Doppler wind is the only thing updating right now

Well that sucks, never got to see what happened on doppler with so many missing frames

Doppler shows what the southerly is about to do, going to enhance storms to the NW of Melb and leave all the junk down this way.

Temp is slowly dropping here as southerly getting stronger

Things have really exploded north of the border, some action going now like Rhino said to the NW

Bit of a battle between the southerly and northerly going on, my place has a light southerly so hoping the northerly can push down a bit further (don't like my chances from whats going on out west) best area for storm development will be where the north and southerly meet like the last event. Update...

It's interference the radar picks up at night when there's some moisture around, DP's have been going up a bit since dark

driving along Burwood Hwy FTGtoday watching 2 poster size pieces of plastic cardboard flying around the air along with a heap of leaves. had a few drives baffled as they were rotating in the air the sun catching the white backing making them look metalic silver and being reasonably high up not know...

Line of small cells getting going out SE, won't be surprised if these become lightning active in the next hour or so

Anvil cloud moving south covering a lot of the SE now from all the cells over the rangers, the cell NNE of the city anvil has moved south a fair way already.

Could have gotten some structure shots of that cell if I went onto the roof (maybe some CG's to, saw CG's from it before it was dark), it's been lighting up in the distance off and on since it went dark.

The activity down SW sure isn't dieing down, very active cell

*Sigh* me, too. Finally a day with real potential and I'll be stuck in the office. It cant just co-operate and happen one day later? Hopefully some action after hours, but I'm not very confident, everything seems to start too far east this season. Should have moved to Albury for the summer, watched...
