I think that fog will lift soon Anthony. Should reveal convective skies and rain pushing in from the west. A very wet spell for the state with widespread 25-50mm falls and scattered accummulations above that over the weekend north of the divide. Should see 30mm in Melbourne and perhaps more if storm...

The NW cloudbands are really starting to crank up a bit now. Anticipate near record rainfall over parts of NW WA and NT over the coming month translating southeast and giving us large scale rain events, with decent falls for the whole state. I think far eastern areas will see the lightest falls if t...

Thanks for posting that Johnno. It is certainly looking very interesting the coming 6 weeks. How much more rain can the north get out of this current setup is anyones guess. For us in the southeast expect more of these humid conditons which may save us from a dry cold winter however elevate temps an...

OUCH!!! More power to you! I cannot stand Burpees, I vomit at the thought of doing that! But go you!
I am doing a boot camp once a week and last night was perpetual motion and I nearly spewed! But good to feel the soreness this morning, still lots of work to do!
Where you headed?

I agree Strato, It is 2010 type rainfall albeit light, the sky is caked in cloud, there is a haze out there and it is very humid for this time of year. You can smell the rain! Rain around Melbourne right now should increase from the north later on. Local thunderstorms over the NE and W this afternoo...

Some steadier falls coming into NW VIC at the moment and that rain should fill into C areas this evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the NE from a line Echuca-Mansfield east. Locally heavy falls in the NE this afternoon from those. Fine back in the far west with increasing cloud. Chance ...

The system comes through in two parts it appears, tomorrow and Friday which looks thundery across the state with 10-25mm likely for many areas and then the follow up low which I think will travel across the guts of the state bringing much needed rainfall to inland areas and modest falls south. If a ...

I think we are tending wetter and cooler into the second half of this year with widespread moisture feeds coming from the Indian Ocean and near La Nina conditons in the Pacific come the end of year. We could go full blown La Nina but have to wait and see what the warmer water towards the Phillipines...

Significant moisutre is conitnuing to spill into the country from the NW with the Indian Ocean trending favourable for further heavy rain events over the winter and perhaps spring time periods. I think we are entering a much wetter phase over the nation and could see rivalling rain events to that of...

Hello Shell. I have returned from my hiatus. But I have been exercising a heap. Weightloss is now at 22kg. Nearly 10 months ago I started. Heaps of work and hard fought times at the gym, running and eating healthy. It is amazing the changes you can make if you can put your mind to it. ATM I am doing...

Good morning everyone! Long time between drinks, life has thankfully settled down somewhat. Things looking promising from this system. I suspect a lot of chopping and changing from models over the coming days as details will follow really where the cold air and low pressure decides to form. I am of ...

This weather is out of control. It is outrageous weather! I cannot believe that we are in the middle of March having such a long sustained burst of heat. Disgusting! Anyhow should end earlier now on Wednesday with a strong and squally SW change. Should come through in parts with a southerly kick lat...

So some significant rain and thunderstorms have developed over Northern VIC this morning and is moving southeast over the Melbourne areas and between Cape Otway and Wilsons Prom. Should be a fairly wet morning for much of Central VIC. Local thunderstorms are still likely this morning in the band, th...

Good to see you smashing it through the week Shell especially outdoors in the warm to hot weather! Sweat it out. Another 50km of cardio this week, one session spent in the thunderstorms of Thursday. Still struggling to do much more with weird times of sleeping and the work being all at night, making...

Hi everyone and good early morning. Sorry I have not been around of late, especially with all this weather. But good to read all the posts. Nightshift turning me into a recluse haha! Plenty of showers and storms overnight up in the NE and E. Tambo Crossing picked up a direct hit and around 20mm of rain. Looking like Melbourne suburbs could get anywhere from 0-50mm today. It has that feel about it and if the storms get up, they will dump big time. Dew was heavy on the cars after ...

Had lost another 500gms this week with all the dental craziness I have been going through. Another 2 fillings today and stitches removed so I can now eat somewhat normally. First thing I got was a cheeseburger and I am not ashamed to say I hoovered that down my face! Anyway another 60km of cardio th...
