Been very lucky down this way. Very green. Most places nearing average. But the country as a whole is in real bad shape at the moment.

Hopefully spring delivers.

A mild, but wild and foggy night up here. Quite a few big gusts woke me up. Rain a bit underwhelming... just 2mm in the gauge. EC has over predicted totals every day this week, which is a bit unusual. Had a touch less then 10mm last three days. Quite a contrast as you head south with our place at Walkerville scoring 50mm in the same period :o

Still need 21mm to our month average :x Painfully slow climb after we got a good early jump.

Bit of storm surge on the bays which looks to be running around 20-30cm atm.

Unpleasant weather continuing here without a break - 7C, full cloud, drizzly showers and very strong wind.

Another 3mm in the gauge; 2.3mm to go to the August average. Very wet around here and each time we get significant rain now we get flooding, so hoping to avoid it for a bit, but it would be good to see many areas to the north and the east get some.

Just 0.6mm here today from some drizzle this morning. Doesn’t look like a great deal of rain for the next 7 days, so maybe a bit of a quiet end to the month. 12c maximum today - definitely noticing temperatures spiking a bit higher as the sun gradually gets stronger. Interestingly, it has been quite a wet month with regard to days of rain. We’ve had 16 out of 21 days recording rain.

2mm more here before it cleared. Quite a mild day by recent standards with a max of 10C. Felt almost warm in the sun. Last part of this sequence tonight. Should be worth a few mms.

Sneaky systems around Saturday PM and again around Tuesday or Wednesday so chance to bump totals before months end.

Btw check out this photo from the Mallee (near Warrimull) via Weekly Times. I had no idea it was this bad so close to Melbourne :(

System finally got cranking last night here with another 10mm. Been a bit of an underperformer overall locally, but now a more respectable 30mm for the sequence. Think we’re about 10mm off the monthly average now, so should get there unless Saturday’s front goes missing.

Like most systems this month, last night’s front didn’t tap an infeed so all showery stuff in west so southwest flow.

Another 4.5mm here with the relentless south-westerly gales - looking forward to a break from these!

Now 2.2mm over our August average with 92.5mm mtd. Well ahead of ytd average.

Yep north of Ouyen its a desert, no rain, its real bad and second year of severe drought with many yet to hit 100mm YTD

Inland SA, NSW, Qld, all the same too so dry and the heat is not far away.

Light frost here this morning with a temperature of 3C. Looks like a nice day ahead. Horse paddock needs some sun to kick off the grass growth.

Heavy frost here, my little temperature gadget had a minus 4.6.
Yes should be sunny, but staying dry longer term it seems.
