Drizzly night in the Nongs with another mm. Today looks cool, cloudy, windy and spitty. Will add up near the coast and hills, but most others will see spots at best.
Remarkable snow photos in the alps. Would guess the falls which look to have peaked around 20cm would be a once every couple of years event, though this ones a bit odd as I’ve tended to find its often Baw Baw which picks up the bigger out of season snowfalls, whereas this ones delivered the goods across them all. Even the lower spots such a Buffalo, Selwyn and Dinner Plain have a solid cover.
Few photos from the web which capture it well.
Bit of contrast with Queensland and WA where a heatwave the likes of which hasn’t occurred for about 20-30 years is unfolding. OZ is on track for a hot December which just shows how odd this weather is locally
