I was thinking about your bull ants building Mount Fuji’s in your driveway the other day. Seems to have been a more reliable sign of big rain ahead than the models!
Ah yes! Those bull ants knew what they were doing. I was very intrigued to see that yesterday afternoon they had sealed off the craters in their Mt Fuji's and were no-where to be seen.
I am up to 85mm now as well. Fabulous event.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m

Fog that would do Scotland proud overnight with further drizzle. About 2mm more in the gauge. Will be slow to clear today, so could well get close to 70mm before it is done. Currently on about 65mm.

A photo I took yesterday in the city. Remarkable humidity - getting fog to near sea level in the city with rain is something that’s pretty rare, but has happened a few times in the last month. TBH the humidity in the past six to eight weeks is something I don’t reckon I’ve seen before. Perhaps not surprising with these non-stop tropical infeeds and a record hot Coral Sea. Looks like it will be coastal Queensland which gets it next with EC showing four feet of rain is possible at spot locations in the coming week :o

Wet afternoon here. Quite the opposite to what BoM was forecasting.

2.4mm overnight here with fog and drizzle. A couple of brief showers today but not enough to register. Max of 17c, so another cool one. Some trees around here are starting to get their autumn leaves. Definitely feels like the season is changing.

4mm more for us in FC so finished just shy of 70mm... and 80mm for the thread. Fantastic start to autumn. It is so nice not having to be constantly looking at the progs for rain, which has been the habit the last couple of late summers/autumns :?

Potential for another cracking system next weekend. EC has a doozie :o

It is a good feeling! Also, there seems to be a tendency lately for models/ forecasts to upgrade instead of downgrade.

I will leave someone else to start the thread for end of the week - don't want to push my luck :).
