What exactly is it and how do we observe it in the model outputs?
It seems to be the major factor mentioned with a lot of our weather systems coming through and so many times we miss out on heavy rain in one part of the state or another (or the whole state) because upslide was too weak or weakened in one area and strengthened in another. I'd just really like to know how to observe this and get an understanding of it because I often find myself left in the dark as to why we miss out on some rain events. If I can understand the concept of upslide then I will have a better idea of what to expect and it will improve my forecasting skills massively.
