Very dark here at work (Box Hill South). Had about 1cm? sized hail about 5mins ago, Now absolutely pouring down.

Dark at home too, enough for the solar panels to shut down.

Got smashed here. Torrential rain, solid flash flooding and hail from about 0.5cm to 1.5cm. Around 18mm in around 10-15 minutes. Event total is sitting on 26.3mm now which is about three times the highest that any of the models were giving us. Temp down around 10.5C at the end of the storm.

Funny temperature contrasts around town.
Melbourne's outer western suburbs and Avalon are still around 20c, still quite mild as those areas completely missed out.

The storm forecast we issued yesterday has turned out pretty good!

Managed to get some quite heavy rain and the odd rumble driving through Caulfield and down to Brighton. Saw lots of lightning to the north of us though, where most of the action is. Possibly some mid-level rotation in some of the storms, so damaging winds possible and also large hail. Flash flooding is obviously occurring already.

Keep us posted guys! :D

Getting quite a few rumbles here from that cell to the NE of me. The storms have basically missed my area unfortunately with less than 1 mm here and nothing to come if the radar is anything to go by. Essendon AP has done well with 25mm's.

4.5 mm here and by the radar that is all I may get, better than nothing though.

Happy that I got home from work dry.

Has eased off here in Box Hill, trough is still lying through central vic for a few more hours, sky looks conducive for more development, fingers crossed.

That's potentially a supercell near Belgrave! Reports of hail up to 4cm in it as well as flash flooding and mid level rotation. Has been going for a while too, a couple of hours if I remember correctly. Doppler has certainly looked interesting this afternoon!

decent downpour here, flooding everything as well as hail amongst it

the lightning and thunder wasnt that close or loud, but more up in the clouds but continously rumbling!

any chance of more this evening, it would have been great at night to see the lightning

Well after looking quite threatening earlier this afternoon, I have just been hit by a front of flangs, hail and heavy rain.....conditions have gone very dark and gloomy here in Drouin, West Gippsland. Wind 22.6 gusting to 55.6kmh and temp back to 14.8C...total of about 4.4mm rain in last 15 mins.
