Last one to cross the Qld coast in May was in 1989 I think.
First recorded May cyclone was in 1898, last one before Ann was TC Pierre in 2007. 34 May cyclones since records began.

BTW got down to Cape Paterson today. Still piles of hail after three days - it was around three feet deep in spots, and the creek bottom was full. The trees were shreaded, but hail looks to have been mainly around a cm. The flash flooding was evident just north of The Caves (about 10km north of Inverloch).

A few photos. Piles of hail, the surf club (the wash out is about 10 feet deep), and Inverloch Beach which has been battered again in the last week (and lost about 30m of the sand dune, with only about 10m left to the surf club).
