Warm and sunny morning. Gonna hit the beach soon, before the early arvo wind change :D

BTW early season heat record for OZ yesterday with 43.2C at Mandora in WA (but one day). Shows things are starting to heat up quickly setting the stage for heat spikes whenever it goes northerly :?

26.3c here, now 14.7c. Felt suddenly very summery today with the very warm north wind.

City "unlucky" not to see a 30C today with the wind change just nipping the rise. We scored 25C back home in FC, which is about 30 or 31C sea level equivalent.

On Waratah Bay it was a stunning morning. Small but clean swell coming into a light offshore northeasterly (perfect for SUPing - or would be if I was a better SUPer :D ). Felt about 28C on the beach. It's pretty uncommon to have a day down here in spring which is perfect beach weather.

Cold here now and about 12C with the cloud barely above the ground (looks to be a base at about 200m).

Maybe a shower or two tomorrow.

Won't take too many more days like today to turn things yellow then brown across the state.

An ok September. Around 50mm. Last decent drink on the 16th from memory.

Waiting to see what Oct and Nov have in store.. Would be nice to have a few stormy fronts roll by this spring.

I think we're due for a thunderstorm :)

Some nice steady showers here, have been reasonably heavy at times this afternoon.

Bit suprised with the steady showers today. Not really picked by the Progs (they tended to have them sparse and mainly southwest). Had 2.8mm so far and a chilly max of 10C in FC. Makes the first rain for the month :D Quite odd getting steady showers sat under a 1024hPa high.

Down in Walkerville been mainly south of them, and been quite a nice though chilly day.

Warms up tomorrow, though light winds and a cool start will mean it stays mild to warm, apart from the far northwest.

3mm today, and certainly surprising. I was expecting zilch! Max of 13c today and currently 7c. Wood heater is back on.

Scored 3.6mm so a dust settler (though we aren’t that dusty :P ). Two warm ones ahead, hot in the northwest today and northeast and Gippsland tomorrow. Could well crack the mid 30s around Mildura today. EC has 40C near Renmark so only a hundred or so kms from a touch and go new Vic record. Thinking about 36 or 37C will be where it lands.

Tomorrow’s front look mostly dry and windy. Fortunately most of Vic is still green. The follow-up system on Monday will be much stronger (though moisture starved) so showery in southern areas which will be heavy in the usual wet spots. EC has locally more than 25mm around the Otways, Yarra Ranges and parts of Gippsland, though most spots look like getting more like 2-5mm. Snow in the alps with 850Ts dropping to -3C (so also potential for a couple of damaging spring frosts Tuesday and Wednesday).

Wierd weather in the Dandenongs with a daytime max of 17C, but it’s now popped up to 20C at 9am. Shows there’s some hot air aloft. Will be reflected in some high temps across NSW and Gippsland tomorrow.

Looks like Mildura scored the high today with 35.9C so well short of a record in the end. Some scorching temps just across the border, including a nasty 41.8C at Port August (1C off there October record and still early in the month).

Wind change speeding up. Looks to be at the bottom of the bay. Calm here atm at Walkerville and cool, but reckon the wind will crank any second. We had about 1mm overnight

Front for later tomorrow is looking increasingly strong. Quite a cracker. New thread time :)

Its coming to end of nice warm days and milder night time temp.

Rest of this week coming day time temp drop below 20s and cold nights between 3c to 7c again hate it.

Had less rainfall of September 32mm out of 54.2mm average month.

Total rain to Today date 316.8mm out of 550.1mm Year rainfall.

Had dry change with little drops thats it.

IF October fails any rain then Northern Country turn to desert fast with dry winds.

Starting to get humid here as moist maritime air wraps into the westerlies. Over the west of the state there is very low stratus with a cloud base only a couple of hundred metres up. Expect this to rush into central areas from late arvo ahead of drizzle and fog. Not a lot in this lot but perhaps a mm or two locally.
