Hobart 14 c plus today, second front now killed by massive Highs once again we will get zip . Outlook is for Tasmania to cook and dry to at least till spring. While the rest of the country is looking wetter and cooler. Can’t cut a break down here , going to be a massive fire year .
18C here today and calm, as it was with 18.5C here yesterday. The odd spot of rain has made its presence felt under the occasional late arvo cloud here.
HB - we need to talk more openly, in the climate thread. Maunder Minimum has arrived.
Very cold air for tomorrow. EC has snow levels down to around 500m in central and north central so if there are showers definitely chance. Thinking spots like Trentham, Ballarat, Macedon look best. A chance for the Dandenongs though moisture looks to be the main issue.
Max of 9.6C in Ferny Creek with 1.4mm from a couple of early thundery showers.
10.2mm here. 1mm of that was from the rain early this morning. Quite heavy at times this evening. Looking forward to some proper cold weather. It’s currently 5.8c here and should stay below 10c tomorrow. Hopefully a bit of snow about the Macedon Ranges and Central Highlands tomorrow after the colder air moves in.
Chilly morning. Dropped to 2.8c overnight and currently 3.8c. Some showers have popped up across parts of the Central Highlands, so there’s a good chance some of this will be snow over the higher parts. Suspect we will be mostly rain shadowed here today, so not expecting much rain if any.
Revised top of 10 degrees for the CBD today. I'm a bit sceptical when they forecast that temp without much precipitation around. My tip is 12 degrees by 11am . Melbourne's good at doing that

The winds are coming from about 55 degrees latitude and it’s July. That’s a really cold airmass

Agree
But Melbourne has a mind of its own when it comes to these cold days.
A few days back, our location was advised of 12C today, and snow to 900M.
We had a calm, sunny (till late arvo) 7.5-17C day, with 1mm rain from a couple of isolated late arvo showers. Things are slowly getting less muddy around here.
Bit of waste of all that cold air today Max of just 5.1C but only feeble showers. 0.4mm in the gauge. Had a bit of grauple and late sleet, but showers just not punchy enough.
Will be a lot wetter tomorrow in the south, but airmass is becoming milder.
Surely it would be snowing at Mt Macedon at the moment. There’s a heavy shower over it at the moment. Tempted to go up and have a look as I only live 15-20mins away.

It's not. We had some good flurries all through the day but nothing now.
The road up the mountain is still closed and there is a manned .roadblock.
Temp today was 0.7C minimun to 1.2C max. One of the coldest days Ivs seen in my eighteen years at Mt Macedon.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
