Just a meagre 6mm here for the dates. As expected, we've been under a strong rain shadow, which is pretty typical with this particular NW set up. But it has weakened a bit in the last 24 hours with a reduction in the wind, so hopefully we can squeeze out a little more. Great to see the falls elsewhere though, especially in northern and western parts where some good rain has been needed for a long time.

Same here, springs storm type rain intensity :D Peaked at 105mm/hr. A quick 4mm and still coming down fast. Another fairly mild one here with a max of 10.2C.

Tomorrow looks similar to today, with showers peaking late.

Pressures starting to get impressively low down to 996hPa here now.

Just shy of 10mm in the gauge this morning. Puts us on 20mm for the event.

Really focused today in the west and northern slopes. Big falls pilling up. Turned cold enough for snow in the alps where significant falls will occur at higher elevations. Pressure is getting very low. Just dipped below 990hPa here. Big surge on the coast with local flooding likely around the bay this arvo and substantial erosion on the open coast. The Williamstown gauge is one to watch with flooding appearing when it gets to about 130cm http://www.baywx.com.au/rycv.wave.html

Cold air for tomorrow and winds go west to southwest with focus for showers moving south. Looks a tad to warm for snow in the Nongs, but Trentham/Macedon look better.

Next week is starting to look wild with a cold outbreak then a deep slow moving low :o :? :D

Now up to 30mm this week.

Potentially a bit more coming on Monday night and then a possible monster of a cold front this time next week.

Another short downpour this afternoon. It's hard to recall a more cloudy week here. Some convection out West too so likely to be a wild evening.... Could be over 40mm for the week before too long.

4.75mm for the event here so far.

Classic winter foehn set up for central-east gippsland for this, we got 21C here yesterday, and like today, only the odd moment of NW'ly breeze made it to the ground. Good to see decent snowfalls up top, and also rain over the States NW sector.

You could do better next week? Looks quite nasty, though guess the Tassie rain shadow can really kill the rainfall prospects.

A cold wet one here today. Rained lightly almost all day. 5.4mm in the gauge and a cool max of just 8.1C. Event nearing 30mm.

Tomorrow looks cold, wet and windy. Unfortunately the cold air is actually ahead of the wind change so the lowest snow levels will be before the best of the precip. Not expecting proper flakes here, but Macedon and Trentham look a better chance.

Nice cold outbreak for Tuesday. Looks hopeful for some proper lower level snow.

8mm since this morning and still raining. 38mm this week...

It feels like a winter in the early and mid-1990s.

Chilly 3C here this morning. Borderline for snow.

Cold air is moving through so when the showers hit late morning into arvo will be too warm for snow.

Progs next week are looking crazy :o EC has a 965 low in Bass Strait :?

A few flakes here early but nothing since. Another 3mm, making 16.5mm for the dates - well below forecasts.

Mostly missing the rain (and snow) with this sequence, but everything is very wet anyway, so perhaps not a bad thing. Nice not to be the centre of the action for wind for once too!

6degC and still drizzling. 41mm event total. Falls Creek has had 53cm of snow overnight.

EC seems a bit off-the-chain. I can't think of any Bass Strait low below 970 HPa unless I'm mistaken? Thus I'm a bit skeptical tbh.
