Murray River

Location: Echuca
Spent a couple of hours fishing the Murray. Bait used were Shrimp and cheese , which saw us pull up a good half dozen carp (which had a quick unsavoury death ). Small perch also biting but they were thrown back in for another day. A couple of us decided to jump in the tinny to try another area. After 20 mins we landed a 40cm Murray Cod on cheese. The minimum length for a Cod is 50cm, so he survived another day. We spent another 30mins trying our luck, but spent more time feeding the buggers than catching them.
Plenty of shrimp in the river, we were able to catch them in our bare hands, amazing stuff!!
