Rain and wind set to lash Britain.

The country is braced for a wet and windy start to the week, with downpours and gusts of up to 65mph set to spread misery across the UK on Monday.
Meteorologists said it is unlikely that any region will escape the gloom, with parts of Wales and Scotland expected to bear the brunt of the bad weather.
And the longer term forecast fails to lift the dark skies, with storms expected towards the end of the week as well.
Rachel Vince, forecaster at MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: "There is a deep low moving in from the north west bringing very strong and gusty winds across the whole of the UK tomorrow."
Gusts of 40 to 50mph will be typical, with winds picking up to 65mph on parts of the west coast.
It will be accompanied by rain that will spread eastwards throughout the day.
"It is going to be a pretty horrible day," Ms Vince added.
Along with the wind and rain, some areas of the country will also see snowfall on Monday.
Parts of the Scottish Highlands, Cumbria and the Peak District over 350m could see flurries, forecasters said.
After a brief respite in the middle of the week, storms and heavier winds are due to return around Friday.

UK gets ready for the big freeze

Winter weather is set to sweep across the UK and it could bring the heaviest November snow fall since 1993.

Several schools and roads have already had to close in Scotland because of bad weather.

And up to 20cm more snow is expected to fall in parts of Scotland on Wednesday night.

Weather forecasters say the cold snap will spread across the UK later in the week. Northern and eastern Scotland and England will be worst affected.

BBC forecaster Matt Taylor said: "It's not just a short, sharp shock, it'll be around well into next week.

"We've had snow earlier than this, but to have as much as this across a large part of the country, we have to go back to about 1993."
