These are a few snaps from a little trip that I went on with my brother and sister, and my Mum's friend on the 4th of June.
Our journey starts in Wagga, where it had been raining that morning, and we then headed south to the little town of Holbrook and walked along the HMAS Otway submarine. We then found ourselves on the road again to have lunch at Jingellic, alongside which were green, rolling hills, dotted with pine tree plantations. Lunch at the Bridge Hotel was delicious, and we didn't have to wait too long either, which was a plus as we were starving!
It was a cool, cloudy day, where it had also had been raining that morning (perfect for me!
), so we ventured out before we left to capture the beauty of the pub, river and surrounds in dappled light.
After our photography session, we drove through to Victoria and from Walwa, to Tintaldra, to Tooma and then our final destination, Paddy's River Falls. Along the way found the most amazing views of valleys, and little towns, and the hills (the pics don't do them justice!
). We probably spent 20 minutes stopping to taking photos, while driving to the falls, they were just that amazing!
I think the best part of the day would have had to have been seeing the waterfall, as I'd never seen one as large (the other, a small one alongside the road on Waterfall Way from Dorrigo to Bellingen). We were lucky to go that day, as it had been raining and a lot of water was coming from down the mountains. When you get there, there is a lookout that you can walk onto just over the cliff face that gives the most spectacular views of it. You can then go down a walkway (with many steps I might add!), that takes you to right next to it where you can feel the cool, misty mountain air as it is being sprayed up. It's unbelievable how close you can get to it!
The time had come to leave as it was getting dark and we wanted to get home to have dinner. On the way we encountered very thick fog from Tumbarumba, and spent the whole way home trying to figure out how to demist the car!
Have I sold it to you yet?

The pub where we had lunch, is the closest pub to the Murray River. I had salt and pepper squid and a lemon, lime and bitters.
