Not bad for a city that is much more built up than 50 years ago Same here in the desert of SA, had 80mm last november, this october 80mm november so far 90mm, seasonal creek has been runnicg for 6...

Re: Warm to hot with possible showers and storms later: January 19-2?

Looks like everyone is getting some rain. Good to see. NO rain here in SA since Nov, when we had 120mm in what is supposed to be the desert. 10mm the other week thats it. 100mm here, 150m there, just not here. Still the last three years, we have been cooler than Vic in summer, amazing. Summer fogs t...

Re: Another low tracking south over Vic/Tas 16-19 Oct

HaHa well I hope all is well with you all in Vic. Some storms coming. Since I moved to mid north SA, we have had more rain than when I was in Melb. Then I went to 90 mile beach and nearly died of Dehydration. 2 Weeks ago we had snow, lovely snow of the type the Macedonians post, I was so excited I m...

Re: Deep slow moving low with rain, snow, gales and storm surge: August 17-24

Great to see Vic having good rain and lots of snow. People thought I was mad when I moved from the drought in Gippy to the drought stricken mid north of SA but Vic was so dry, I thought I may as well go live in the desert. The day I got here the drought broke. However until last week, it was looking...

Pretty impressive day you are having. Most unusual activity given the temps. Im struggling to recall a similar event in relatively mild temps in Feb since radar was online. Moorabbin, because it is the highest hill closest to the coast on the eastern side of the bay in metro melb, it has its own wea...

FYI some bogus reports of severe storm damage are being reported by our wonderful millenial media folks. Putrid day out there. Since when do you have 43C, dumping rainstorm then, 40C in Melbourne? This is just getting silly TBH. In the not seen before stakes, today is the first day on which Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart have all reached 40C. It would have also been a record hot day in Canberra (if no...

Some rumbles of thunder, brown scud, some towers going up, patches of blue. Its very congested sky atm.
Lots of dust in the clouds setting the lightning off.
Very humid for here, I aint gunna mention that 4 letter word that starts with R just yet.

The storms showing on radar in the mid north of SA are chockers full of dust. Thats whats setting the lightning off. This dust will be heading for western vic and take a left turn and go for melb this evening I reckon.

I was there a few months ago, just like the Dandenongs but worse, very narrow roads, dense housing, many one way roads, roads going around in circles, no signs, few lights. I said to my mate this is a joke, it will go up one day and no one will get out. Just saw on TV that apparently there are vicio...
