Re: Warm and humid with showers and storms: Late December to early January

Was able to watch the continuous lightning going over the you yang's and out onto the bay. Direct hit here on the north Bellarine. Bucketed down for 5 mins, if that, and produced 4mm. Cooled the air down nicely. Perfect start to the year.

11mm for the northern Bellarine. I accidentally left the tap on last week watering in some new vegies and emptied the tank :x so happy for as much rain as I can get.

Re: Cold front 18/4 then cool and showery

Just shy of 19mm tipped out of the Nylex in Clifton Springs.
A little upset I had not put new batteries in the weather station. They keep going flat every 6 months as I'm not putting the correct batteries in.
Any recommendations?

Re: Warm to hot with some showers and storms: November 29 to December 3

I've had such a fun afternoon on the Bellarine Peninsula. Driving around following the downpours. Went from 33c to 16c when the first cell went over. Absolutely chaotic on the road when under the black on radar. Couldn't see anything. Hail about 2cms at one stage in Portarlington. They have a nasty ...

I feel like falling to my knees, weeping and gnashing my teeth, ripping my hair out.

I'm first week on holidays in WA. Home is Portarlington on the Bellarine. I cannot believe I missed that storm today.
I am seething!!!!!!!!

I'm less than 20 KMs from Avalon across the bay and although BOM has said it was 39 here the PWS said it only topped out at 33 though I'm only 2 streets away from the beach. Had some fat drops of rain half an hour ago, enough to put just over half a mm in the gauge, and enough to soak my hair and gi...

Have to say that it would have been almost scary to be on Phillip island for the last hour. That lightning rate was phenomenal! I wonder if there were any brave photographers out in that?

Most of the rain in this system will fall this afternoon and tomorrow. Patience. It still looks OK for August 11-12 and also later next week. Although still not really showing any major rainfalls for Northern Vic. I'm on the boat to Tassie on the 12th, where do I find charts for then? Want to find ...

Had 4mm on the Bellarine so far, can see some heavy stuff a few k's away. Need to drive through this to Geelong for some grog for the pub. The wind was absolutely crazy this morning, my PWS is not mounted high enough to get good reading of wind speed darn it

I can't believe how many stations are reading 47 in the north west. There is one over the border near Morgan reading 48. Makes me happy being coastal. Made it to a top of 41 today, now currently 33.

First time poster here :-D Had 1.8 mm so far on the Bellarine. Really hoping for not too much rain tomorrow as we have the Portarlington Mussel Festival. We run the local pub so the weather will either help us out with people escaping the rain or hinder, with people completely cancelling plans to co...
