Great storm last night - woke up the kids, the cats were howling as they hate heavy rain. Lots of hail too.
Pity that huge NW cloud band is not going to link up with the the front - it would be a great inland dumper if it did.

After this next system, it appears to go into high pressure dominance. Bit of a shame given the moisture availability to the NW and the current wet catchments ability to translate into healthy recovery for dam levels.

Lots of rain over night - great to hear it on the new roof and see the creek in flood. But cannot check the radar as a truck took out the copper line which is lying on the ground. Telstra won't fix until 7 May, so have come into work to speak to the Ombudsman - how do we home school/work from home? ...

And right on que my central gas ducted heating system breaks down. Won't even be able to call someone until Tuesday. Lucky the reverse cycle system is working - in reverse. Some nice heavy showers here after good 10mm overnight. At least the weather is providing something of interest.

Oh my that's scary HB. Particular not being tested. But the symptoms sound really bad, I can imagine it would be like trying to breath at 6000 meters. Doing everything we can here to not get it - I am the only one leaving the house which is to go to work and when I am there I am in my office with th...

A little drizzle overnight but things are getting dusty dry. We do need a good drop of rain. NBN is scheduled here for the 1st of May, I am hoping it stays on target because we are going to need that in the coming months. My 3mbps currently just does not cut it.

Having the roof replaced the week of 30th of March so I desperately need fine weather that week. Of course as long as the contractors remain healthy and can actually do the job. Starting to dry out and I noticed some burn off activity recently. It's a wonder how they can ignite a very green bush cur...

My rain gauge has recorded 45mm. Everything is soaked and the creek has minor flooding. It's still coming down strong. I think this about ends the fire risk here for this summer. Great to see the fire grounds in eastern Victoria get a good drop of rain. Hopefully enough to allow all of them to be co...

Hope we don't end up in the dead zone between the two rain bands. Both cannot be over us at the same time as they have different orientations. Really happy about the rain on the fire grounds. The far east Gippsland fire still missed out so hoping that area and south coast NSW gets some as the low he...
