Lol, I'm always unplugged.
But good bit of weather, I spent the last hour asleep, so cool and restful. 13mmm all up. Hope Marakai got some of that, it did spread further inland than I expected, even as far as Mt Carbine, I think.

Was at a small gathering of locals yesterday, the lost young man was mentioned but no news. Was upriver closer to Beryl Wruck's loss a fair few years ago. Thunder overnight and it continues today though after crossing Cairns continues straight north somewhat off the coast. Seems rain is due in the n...

Nice post, Marakai, chatty even. Am enjoying the drippy weather, and cooler. before the sodden and sticky. Not enjoying the mossies buzzing in my ear in the middle of the night, hence why I'm up now at 2am. Guess I'll have to ask partner for another sweep with the mister - wish this new machine was ...

18mm in the gauge at 4am, looks like a bit more coming too. Really useful. Hiya Marakai, good to see you posting. Same boat here, Scott, I didn't mow a large swathe around the mango with a wasps nest, waiting on partner to dispose, not sure my reaction. He had a looksee and got stung (grins)says he'...

Same here, Scott, barely a trace. Seems like we're not getting hot enough for the thunderstorms to build inland. - nice thought isn't it, 36 would probably do it if it doesn't do us and our plants first.

I really hate it when I hear the faint momentary sound of the equivalent quantity of less than a bat's liquid effluent lands on the roof and the BOM's prediction for rain has come true, albeit uselessly.

Surprisingly, we've had very good landline service and when needed, swift repairs. And my landline is my internet, very faithful. Can't say how well the mobile service works, I don't use it since visitors here used to have to walk up to the road to connect. The death at the zipline. I looked at thei...

March flies here are rare right now, but maybe I shouldn't jinx myself.
Amazing - am starting to avoid the heat of the day but yet how wonderfully chilly/refreshing the early morns still are.

Didn't know they delivered over here, Bunyip. Not that I can use that much, nor that our backhoe is a goer either! I do remember the fine crop of white mould on one load I had once at my former house in Port stinking up the whole neighborhood. My modest compost bin will have to suffice though needs ...

And.. Bunyip, the other fire on Cook Highway, near Turtle Cove. We drove through that yesterday afternoon. Helluva plume rising up and into the interior. Widespread and moving towards Oak Beach?
Another brrrrr this morning, enough already, it's sposed to be spring.
