Merry Christmas All!

I'm not sure if anyone has recently noticed, but there are now official weather station reports from 'Point Cook' - Any idea when this new station went live?

Impressive heavy showers last night here in Truganina, started around Mid night on and off through the night. A little over 17mm in the last 24 hours!

While it hasn't accumulated to a staggering amount of rain, the rain showers keep rolling in here on the Western side of the bay, in Truganina.

Just had a heavy downpour here in Truganina, lasted all but 3 minutes, was quite tropical! Very random.

Can anyone with some degree of confidence state whether tomorrow will be a wet day or not?

Planning an outdoor activity down Bellbrae way in the early afternoon. To cancel or not???

Quite funny to think for much of Southern Victoria/Melbourne, this week will probably be the most consistently warm all summer. Back to back days coming up in the mid twenties.

Boring I know, but perfect to get a bit of warmth in before winter!

I certainly agree! It has been far to consistent the cold weather, I understand the limitations and character of our climate down here in VIC, but this Summers cool conditions have dragged on.

Looking at the long term forecasts, looks as though Summer has finally come to play down here for a while. Nothing extreme though, which is good.

On another note, am I the only one who has felt bloody freezing for the most part of December?

A long way out... But there seems to be early signs of some real heat heading south from the 3rd of January onwards?

Impressive system with eastern Melb once again doing the best. Reminds me of the April rain event that dumped 50-70mm across much of the metro overnight Aecsss C nailed this event like EC had the second band developing in the SW then dumping on us in the early morning 49mm here another big rainfall...

What a week just days of E, SE winds and weather moving E to W as the upper low just sits and spins over the NSW SA border. Huge stroms in Qld then NSw but sadly not for us. Quite heavy drizzle has set in here in Truganina over the last 10 minutes.

I'm not liking the chances of any sun poking out, cloud looks pretty thick on the satellite image. I'm happy to be surprised though

There is a forcefield west of Melbourne, as soon as it reached Melbourne's western plains, Pacman formed a gaping hole as was evident on the radar

Not complaining we had lovely rain overnight.
