Welcome Peter,
The link you provided does not work, try this one...
http://www.weatherdownunder.net.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Can't help you with any info on the La Crosse, though they do have a good name I think. Someone else on here will help you in due course I'm sure.
Good luck! :)

It looks ok, but I'd be more inclined to get one that includes the software to interpret the data. Looks like the one you're looking at needs to be connected to a pc that then holds the data, then you have to use third party software (more expense?) to then record the data. I could be wrong, but I'd be inclined to find one that does the lot, a "one stop shop" so to speak.

Welcome to the forum :)

Welcome BlitzRogue,
I don't have an auto weather station myself (much as I would like one), but quite a few members on here do, so it would be useful to get their input.
The biggest factor really is your budget, how much do you want to spend? Looking online, a really good system like the Davis Vantage Pro is going to cost around $1000, though you can get them cheaper if you shop around, on ebay for instance.
Try this link for starters.....
