Very wet night in Mansfield with 47mm falling between 2am-8.00am. MTD now 95mm. Heavy showers still persisting. Interesting feature is the lack of any wind here for the last 48 hours. Almost dead calm.

Soaking wet day in the Dandenongs. 14mm more since 9am with more to come. About 50mm now for the event. Gotta be a pretty good chance for a 100mm event in FC. Almost got there in December's storm but before then quite a while back.

Tipped out 28mm, a good portion of that fell between midnight and 2am.

Mostly dry today with just the odd shower. SWW for damaging winds.
WEATHER SITUATION:
A strong cold front is forecast to affect Victoria, reaching the west coast late Tuesday night then rapidly crossing the remainder of the State to the far North East late on Wednesday morning. West to northwesterly winds will shift colder southwesterly behind the front, becoming strong and squally near the coast. Isolated thunderstorms are a risk near the front, continuing in the south behind the front.
DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60-70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are possible near thunderstorms. Squalls of 70-80 km/h are a risk for the South West, Central and West and South Gippsland districts near coastal areas in southerly winds, extending to coastal East Gippsland during the afternoon. Winds will gradually ease from the west through Wednesday afternoon.

39mm here overnight and today gives us 43mm for the event so far. I still reckon we're going to give 100mm a run this week. :D

Nearly 15mm overnight and still coming down. Event up to (about) 60mm. Ticking over nicely... am wishing it up to the 100mm mark :D

The frogs, duck and yabbies will be happy. The temperature has dipped to a chilly 7C and is still falling.

Cold front overnight added 7mm to the gauge. Now at 27mm for the event and 72mm in the past week!

Blue skies now and not as cold as I was expecting.
