Heavy rain in Northern Tasmania overnight including 52mm in Launceston. Moderate flooding on the North Esk River. Launceston's total for August now up to 135mm.

Flooding and rain continues in the central north of Tasmania. The rainfall for Grindelwald (15km north of Launceston at 200m elevation) for August is 244mm which is now my record for any month with 12 days remaining. July and August the total combined is now 395mm.
