The second picture are usually stone colour tiles.
Both now covered in a layer of Alice Springs and Coober Pedy

Have some thunder rumbling about here. 5mm so far.

Noticed some reddish mud in places here as well, but not as much as you’ve got in those pics steveco. Should soon wash away quite quickly.

Never seen this before - where it’s still raining dirt? After a solid few hours of rain the street gutters are totally brown and flowing fast. You’d think it was just prefrontal but it’s still so muddy everywhere? Crazy
Go the bombersss!

Actual rain totals around here are way less than any forecast in the models. I don't trust them one iota anymore.

Big fail again.

Glad the wind isnt blowing,
From Dead Grass to green weeds,
From Smoke Haze to wind,
Now Mud.
Gee that looks great on my windows.. !
Possibly should have taken the down pipe from running into the fish pond.
One being it's full, Two it will now be pink.

Just 2 mm here. Place looks more dead than a month ago. Where there was grass is now bare dirt. Dreadful.

Totally understood, I'm used to what your looking at.
Having moved 580 meters to a lower spot,
I've got green.. is it the lower spot or the season,
Seems to be so much more rain than I recall in a January.
But being We border onto those hills East of Melb, every bit of moisture appreciated. Red or clear.

The Ironbark forests and local wildlife here are barely hanging on. 17mm MTD and that'll probably be it for January.

Looking at satpic - we got stuck under a dry slot all night. Hopeless.

24mm and foggy and wet in Ferny Creek. 26mm and foggy and wet in Wallerville. Still coming down nicely. Should land somewhere north of 40mm looking at the radar etc. Our MTD in the Nongs is about 160mm which is great. Gotta be a slight chance to crack 200mm from here :D Some spots which scored the best of the storms are already over 200mm.

Great rainfall for so many. Best falls I’ve spotted are near 50mm, so far.

Have heard it’s pretty bad up there. These hot droughts are doing a lot of damage :( You should get more in the next few hours, so fingers crossed.

The bom's clickable dot for Mt Macedon is still not working.
I've had 16mm here. Hopefully a little more to come this morning.

I just noticed the red mud stains in the doorway/car park upon arriving at work. Thank god I had the cars under cover.

We are now over 100mm for the past fortnight. Might be time to start looking at the January record books for this area. :o

25mm so far, lots of red puddles about and lakes that are normally clear are brown. We are about as wet as mid winter here. I have family in Bendigo so I really wish it would rain there too - everywhere in fact.

I hosed down the side of the house a few moments ago. I should've video recorded the amount of red dirt that washed off
