It's going to be a big cleanup tomorrow. Up to 60mm so far since 3pm. Streets are flooded, heaps of SES call outs. Heaviest rains since 2010-11.

And it ain't over yet.

Yeah Strato that next band prob dump another 20-30mm lots more to come sure you be over 100mm for the event amazing, the floods have begun.

Steady rain here slowly getting heaiver has set in and will go much of the night man has the pattern shifted just rains heaps now when it rains every time.
2 back to back 50mm+ events in like 3 days and 3 in a month pretty rare maybe since 2016 or 2010 2011 its coming people.

Easy 20-40mm by 9am frontal band couple hours away big line of TS in W Vic spreading to rain and will just fill in through central Vic who once again going to do very well from this

Wet night ahead
Bring on the heat and stroms

11mm here so far. Heard one clap of thunder nearby. The wind has been quite gusty, though seems to be easing off a bit now. Great hearing steady rain on the roof.

Another bout of heavy rain. One crazy night... We're closing in on our 24hr rainfall record.

And yet the airport AWS has recorded a mere 32mm while we've had nearly 70mm (and 100mm for this week).

It always seems to under report what we normally see in our gauges. Wonder why ?

Topography.

Meanwhile, it's utter carnage outside in our suburb according to the local newspaper. I'll have to check the gauge again. Must be nearly 80mm today so far.

Yeah Pouring for you guys up there sure you will hit 100mm easy be some good flooding up there and damage too.

Whole metro covered in steady to heavy rain and will go for a few hours easy 20-40mm for many again. West of city doing well this time good to see

Pouring for North Central number of 40-70mm and still belting down could be couple 100mm falls by 9am rain band really thickening and pivoting

Wet 3-5 hours ahead

Wow its wet amazing
Bring on the heat and stroms

88mm in the gauge now. The Daily rainfall record for Bendigo is 87.6mm set at the old prison site in March 1914. But airport AWS has had only 41.4mm so far today.

Crazy rainfall here ATM. Stuck under an orange kink in the band that has been running over the southern Dandenongs for about 30 minutes :D

34mm and rising at 50-100mm/hr. Gauges just west of me are over 40mm. Gonna be lots of fash flooding out of this locally.

Gotta be a serious chance of a 100mm if this keeps going :o

Loving the sound of this rain.

There's bouts of heavy rain, but it's mostly moderate and gentle rain which is great.

Had about 30mm of rain so far.

Now that was the mother of all autumn breaks. 93mm since 3pm yesterday (a daily rain record broken), 123mm in the first 3 days of April.

The Gully over the back fence is still a river...

Wild night up here. Poured for hours, multiple rumbles, thick fog and 67mm in the gauge. Checking the local gauges most showing 55 to 70mm around here. Heaviest falls from around Olinda to Upwey, with lighter falls on the backside of the Nongs which is typically for unstable nwly flow.

MTD is about 120mm so already scored our monthly average :D

YTD is now about 590mm :D

Just checked our local records. This appears to be the wettest start to a year on record here. 1946, 1973 and 2011 all had around 500 to 550mm at this point :D Is possible there are wetter starts earlier in the records, but haven’t spotted any.

Sure was a wet night. Had some thunder at times here as well, and 39mm all up. That takes us to 84mm MTD, which is already above average. YTD is now 405mm - a great start to the year!

Just tipped out 57.4mm from the manual gauge! Makes 85.4mm MTD. I can't remember that happening here for a long time. We had a few rumbles here overnight but way to sporadic to record.

40mm here. Monbulk creek is flooded, the biggest flood I have seen for years. Our local street went under overnight. New roof got a good test and no leaks! :D
