First showers hitting here ahead of the main rain-band, which looks impressive on the radar.

BOM sticking with 20-25mm for us - looking at the radar with solid rain all the way back to SA, at least I can dream :).

How GOOD is it to see all of western and NW Vic covered in rain getting 3 to 8mm after months of nothing :D :D
Shame its not 20-40mm but its a start and Very Very welcome im sure.

Vic radar looks a treat so much rain out west loving the new rainbow and mildura radars and soon hillston NSW

WHAT a run weather wise 4 days of 19 to 20c another 20c day today loving it for late May but will pay for it in Oct Nov i reckon lol.

Its ok if south dont get much rain have had a good run need the north to get it crazy dry up there but even so most in south will get 10-20mm by Friday.

Windy wet arvo ahead maybe a rumble enjoy melbourne

Any members in the north getting this rain must be so happy
Bring on the heat and stroms

Smashing down rain here at present. About 10mm so far today. Even had a rumble of thunder around midday. Rather tropical-like for late-May, except it's now 12c...

A welcome break from the recent boring, but very nice weather.

Turned wild here. Raining heavily with squally winds. Awful wind last night, with gusts up to 75km/h, which woke me up quite a few times. Had to go out to check for damage this morning, but thankfully nothing. 3.2mm here so far.

That was quite the rainshadow in the Eastern suburbs for a few hours there - thankfully, the rain has hit properly now (although right on school pickup time of course!)

That is great news; maybe some more to come? Will be interesting to check final totals for Wimmera and North Central; hopefully a good kick for crops and winter pasture.

Over 20mm here and still coming down. Creeks and gullies are pumping, as we'd already exceeded our May average before this rain arrived. I do love a system that exceeds expectations :).

About 8mm at home in FC. Unfortunately a stick fell in the gauge so will have to estimate from surrounding obs. Most showing 7-10mm in our area. As is typically the case in strong and gusty northerlies the heavier falls occurring just south and east of the ridges where the rain that has been blown across the hill falls under light wind conditions.

Nice band of showers and perhaps the odd rumble southwest of Geelong on the radar.

A decent soaking here with 14.2mm. As expected, central and northern areas of the Macedon Ranges did quite a bit better than our area, with lots of spots recording 20+mm.

9.6mm in the gauge this morning. Looks like a showery day ahead.

Good to see solid falls across the north in particular. Been a lean autumn dominated by highs :(

22.5mm here, 94.5mm mtd.

Some good falls clocking up in the west/central with 40mm at Mt William and 41mm at Bullarto South. Northeast has seen several 40mm plus falls, and a big part of the state has scored 10mm plus. Good system; way better than I was expecting a few days ago.

Have received a few showers in Hobart but nothing registered in figures yet. Another dud so far but thought that would be the case.
Blocking Highs returns next week so back to warm dry weather for the foreseeable future.

A couple more mm yesterday evening, which took us up to 16.8mm in total and exactly 100mm MTD. Not expecting much more here this week - maybe a few dribs and drabs - before the high moves in. Could be some cold, frosty nights on the weekend if the sky stays clear.

Got a bit of a whack with wind and rain around 830 last night which was a pleasant surprise. Meant we ended up at 23.2mm for the day. Currently raining now as well which is great.
