The gauge broken? It’s been raining hard for the past hour and it’s recorded nothing 😂

After an initial thundery downpour, we've settled into moderate rain here with the odd heavier burst. 16mm so far.

Raining solidly here. Initially began as a thunderstorm with close flashes and booms just before sunset. Gotta be at least 15mm so far.

Looks very wet for the next few hours too.

Yes, gauge is faulty. They'll probably have to fall back on manual backup gauge if there's one.

Pouring rain here now. About 20mm so far. Reports of significant rain at Castlemaine starting to cause some issues.

25mm here, so that's the autumn break (the local definition being a single fall of an old-fashioned inch between St Patricks Day and Anzac Day.) Definitely a pass, with anything extra from now being a bonus.

Over 30mm's so far with this system at my place in Sebastopol.
28mm's at Ballarat Airport.
Bit of improvement on the 0.8mm's that I and the airport got last month.
Was the driest March on record at the airport beating the 2.2mm's that fell in March 1923. The zero rain that Ballarat got in 1923 was in April.

Lovely soaker this one in bayside. 25mm so far.
Hopefully the rainband stays intact as it moves south east.

Fantastic event for central Victoria and nearby parts. Two months of almost zilch then a months worth of rain in 12 hours. All very normal :?

Great for northern half of Tasmania. Not so great for southern Tasmania. Progs basically picked this. Had just 6mm here so far. Freshens things up, but not enough so far. Quite patchy around here with some spots near 20mm while other spots are yet to crack 5mm.

Pretty quick clearance today for much of Victoria, and a bit slower down here ahead of a cold windy Wednesday.

Just tipped out 64mm from my manual gauge - didn't expect that much! Also, I recorded a couple of good crackers around 6AM!

What a system! At least 55mm here, although suspect it could be higher (haven't replaced my gauge yet).
The Deer Park gauge down the road is showing 67mm according to Melbourne Water. :o

Best overnight result in a very long time here. :D

45mm here. Amazing how widespread decent (25mm plus) totals are through a large swathe of VIctoria. Great system!
