Looks to be decaying at present into a small band of light rain.

33mm so far....feral
Starting to see transition over the sea breeze on the cloud tops. Keep an eye on the radar Melbournians.

Up to 30mm now; just gentle rain after the deluge to keep things ticking over. Pretty widespread too - typhoon's 30mm, Ballarat Airport 26mm, my brother (halfway between here and Ballarat) 21mm and our 30mm.
After yesterday's miss, us westies say all is forgiven now

The cell north of Kilmore has been going crazy with lightning over the last 30 mins
We are getting occasional rolling thunder here in Craigieburn. Hope it sustains until after sunset so we can witness another great lightning show.

Oh well, split the gap again, same as yesterday, well done JS
Good storm out the south west, then another storm to the north east,
Which visits Jasmine and dumps rain,
maybe tomorrow but sounds like it might be weakening.

Weird. It's very humid and warm, but there is low cloud moving in from the far South but that rain band coming in from the North West.

It is a tricky one to forecast, but generally they’ve weakened as expected around the seabreeze areas. In saying that, some further development occurring around the Geelong area which is within the breeze zone now that the winds have eased there, so it’s quite similar to last night. Still an active night ahead I feel.
Edit: By the way, working in the city tonight, have heard a few rumbles from the weakening stuff moving over the bay.

Lots of low rumbles, a few flashes but looks like it's breaking up. At least we are getting a bit of rain so happy with that.
Hold the press - just got a large flang.

Starting to hear thunder in the distance, also starting to rain lightly, have had more than last night already!

I'm very annoyed. Missed out last night by a couple of kilometres and now again by the same distance

Pretty frustrating couple of days on the peninsula.
Missed out last night and looks to be splitting us tonight too. Not a single drop from either day yet, hoping my luck changes soon, garden needs a water
