Lovely little storm here in Box Hill, one of the rare occasions you could see the anvil above the western horizon well before it hit. Not hugely lightning active or anything but so refreshing to see!
Still getting occasional flashes to the east now.
The walk home this afternoon definitely had a mildly humid, still twinge to it, and a review of the Skew-T indicates a not terribly unfavourable atmosphere (with Total Totals at 54).

Great little storm. Went calm before it then a rush of cold air followed by a barrage of small hail. Couple of close flash bangs. About 4mm in total, making just over 15mm for today. Temperature down to 5C with fog.

Bad news for those who couldn't wait until after Melbourne Cup before planting their tomatoes.

Thick fog here and 4C this morning. 6mm more overnight, and 25mm in the gauge. MTD is 60mm. About half way to average. Should get there by Saturday
New thread time as winter makes a return

29mls and tanks well and truly overflowing ... We are on tank water only and have a capacity of 22000 gallons. Need to install another tank , was considering it... a bit late now
63 mls MTD and a lot more to come it seems later in the week.

Found a gap in the line of storms late yesterday, so missed them unfortunately. But finished with 35mm for the events, so not a bad start to the month. Cool one this morning - down to 3.9c. Sunny and 9c at the moment.
