Luckily just nice heavyish rain here in Mitcham. But is very slow moving and looks to be building north and west to thicken again soon. Garden enjoying!

Yeah, not very severe actually. Very tame

Yes!, its one thing to be unlucky, its another thing entirely to be super unlucky out of this multi, multi day event!!

lets see what tonight and tomorrow brings, interesting that the BOM forecast says thunderstorms likely overnight...might finally get that evening of lightning i haven't had for so long!??

Really did die pretty quick after seeming to explode an hour or so ago.. lots of red and orange that has, just flattened to showers. Shame. Hoping another line develops to the NNW.

Extremely complex system with multiple lows
The wind has covered 360 degrees here
Plenty more to come looking at the Satellite
Batten down tonight folks

0.4mm so far. Big storm to my south which has dropped over 50mm in spots and another big one to my north which dropped near 20mm around Ringwood, but stuck in between :(

Waiting to see what happens with the next band. So far had about 20 audible rumbles, though nothing closer than about 10km.

The stuff over western Vic will be over central tomorrow morning to early arvo. Not ideal timing, but by that time should be more of a thundery rainband than a storm outbreak.

Looking around there is a 59mm fall near Gembrook with multiple 30-50mm falls, while the area west of Mortlake has lots of 25-50mm falls so far. Those total are 1 to 2 months worth of rainfall.

SE wind has pushed through to here. On my 2nd day in a row of 0mm so far but sky looking a bit more interesting atm as the wind boundary meets around the ranges. Fingers crossed.

Got under moderate rain with just shy of 4mm. Guess that’s a start

So patchy with big falls alongside light ones. Totals across the Nongs range from around 60mm to 2mm :?

That band out west looks very impressive. Only 100km from the city now and moving east at a reasonable rate. Wonder if it will make it :?:

Tomorrow looks very wet with widespread rain and storms.

Also HB, the radar is slowly developing north of an east west line through Wallan. At the surface the wind is cool southerly, but the sky visually is something else (looks very active convection wise)!

Geez I hope so - I'm one of many playing '50 ways to miss a storm' atm. Had them form up almost overhead today, then explode just a few km south or east; whereas anything that comes in from the north or west dies just as it gets here! Our luck has to change... doesn't it?

I was wondering the same thing
Also the radar seems to be filling in nicely north of the city now
Could be a very very wet evening

Wait on later, Melbourne. It will slowly move eastwards. You can see the shift through the radar...
