Thick drizzle and gusty winds down here. Storms fizzled out about 100km to my northeast.
Some showers for VIC, and rainy for southern and eastern Tas today. Moderate falls in the hills around hobart but most spots only going to see dribbles.
Wintery week ahead. Perhaps new thread? Oz is currently split between a boiling tropics and and southeast which has seen pretty persistent southerly flow.

New thread would be good. I'm a bit too distracted by pre Christmas chaos to contribute anything meaningful though - the way I'm going atm, I would get the dates and title wrong .
Meanwhile, 30C still avoiding us here, though came close at 29C yesterday. Admittedly we are 600m asl, but still a pretty late to have gone without (no complaints though!)

5.4mm overnight here, but otherwise a bit of a dry stretch recently, which looks set to continue for at least another week or more. We managed to get up to 31c on Sunday with a gusty northerly wind, our first 30+ day since 23rd February.
