I've taken an annual leave day today and happy to report that it is raining and cold and beautiful! First daylight rain i have seen here in such a long long long time.
6C and falling.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
Just shy of 7mm here from that showery band. Models had 2-5mm so it over-performed. Month will finish on about 40mm, so about 40% of the average. There's been plenty of showers here this month, but again we are missing out on anything resembling a proper rain-band.

Latest GFS not keen anymore on widespread rain for Tas/Vic next week. Moves all the action to Sydney
GFSV3 has moved to be very keen for Victoria, while the older model (GFS2) has become less keen. Such are the wiggles of the models.
I tend to find EC is the least wiggly of the models, and it's also demonstrably the best. The high amplitude of the system worries me as these will cut off. If this happens too far west the heaviest rain will be north and west. In the right spot we will get a deluge. Too far east and it become a rain producer for the Tasman Sea.
4mm here this morning and today. Not huge but very welcome nonetheless. A chilly 8.6c currently, with a wind chill of 6c, after a max today of 12.6c. Nice little burst of winter.
Max of 9C for us today with frequent showers, but most light. Picked up 8mm so far. One ripper inbound that will get the southern parts of the Dandenongs and should be worth a couple more mms.
EC, GFS3 and CMC all keen on next week. Devil will be in the detail, but looks like the first proper statewide chance since December.

Normally you'd say it was a sprinkle
But OMG in today's forecast it's raining cats and dogs.. wellummmm.. yep.. it's wet..
It was nice to hear the rain on the roof this morning, had a couple of half decent showers this arvo too. I don’t like this cold weather already, 6 years living in Vic and still can’t stand it
12mm in the gauge. Should see a few showers spread inland tomorrow so chance to scrape a bit more before months end. MTD about 50mm for us so about half average, but better than most
4mm more in FC today. MTD is generally in the 40-70mm range across the Dandenongs so not a "disaster" in the end. No proper rain event for the month, just showers and drizzle but persistent enough to add up.
