One of those threads you have between threads. Lots of big highs and weak fronts for the foreseeable future. Will make for lots of gloom in central Victoria and the odd shower, but for most of Australia is just more mild sunny days.

Hard to pick individual fronts as they wiggle in timing and are all weak.

Yeah there's not much to report at the moment. Looks like high pressure will be dominating for at least the next 10 days, possible the rest of the month. So not a great deal of rain apart from some showers across southern Vic at times, maybe adding up a bit more in areas like east central and Gippsland.

It has been very settled here the past few days, almost no wind but mostly cloudy. Without any warm spikes in temps, we're travelling about a degree or so below average for maximum temps. Otherwise, trees are turning and it definitely feels like summer disappeared with the autumn break we had a couple of weeks back.

Hard to report when nothing is happening. Almost rained here a couple of times but nothing in the gauge. Some light showers around the west of TAS and coastal Vic, which will pick up a bit in the next few days.

We might get something middle of next week, but too early to be confident.

2mm overnight here to add to 1mm a few days earlier. Hardly spectacular, but with cool temps and little wind, keeps things green and growing, which is a pleasant change from March!

64.5mm mtd.

A mm overnight here. Fronts are just so weak atm, so away from a big hill or a warm bay there’s very little falling.

Good falls around parts of central Victoria, which has had a remarkable run.

Front for next week is starting to get a bit shaky on the progs :(

5.2mm here since yesterday evening, mostly falling as drizzle.

Still waiting for a good rain event, but it seems unlikely this month. Interesting that the IOD has entered positive territory. Not sure if it will actually last long enough to be officially declared a positive IOD, but if it does, then it will be very early compared to the usual timing of these events.

16mm here last 2 days, thats over 130mm for the month now so wet, so green, so damp, and cool to cold around the place.

Looking forward to the warmth on Mon/Tues could be the last low 20s for months bar strong front in May

Otherwise it is DRY for much of northern Vic and western Vic and no sign of any soaking rain for another 2 weeks I reckon just massive highs dominating

im over the cold already lol gonna be long 6 months lol

Mild dry conditions roll on for nearly all of southern Australia. Front of sorts for next week. Looks quite cold and windy, but not a great rainfall producer. Unfortunately quite a lot of reports coming in of severe tree stress and in spots death across southern Australia now. WA is worst with terrible loses being report from their hottest driest spell on record, but also some deaths in SA and TAS. Not nice to see :( Quite amazing the VIC has so bucked the trend the past few months. Weather systems just happening in repeat :o

New thread for the coming week and hopefully some relief.
